A Bronx Tale is a new musical based off the 1989 play by Chazz Palminteri, which was also adapted into a feature film of the same name released in 1993. The new book is written by Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge, and the show – in its past incarnations as well as on Broadway – is also directed by Gordon Greenberg. Following the Goodspeed run, Holiday Inn then played the massive outdoor amphitheatre The Muny (The Municipal Theatre Association of St. Most famously, the show incorporates songs including “Steppin’ Out With My Baby,” “Heatwave,” “Puttin’ On The Ritz,” “Blue Skies,” “Happy Holidays,” “Cheek to Cheek,” and “Shaking the Blues Away.” The musical had a successful trial run at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut in fall 2014, earning very positive reviews and extending through the holiday season.
